  • Class B - 185lbs and up

Women's Classic Open Bodybuilding:

Classic Men's Physique

Classic Men’s Physique classes are divided by height. We find that many over-estimate their height and measure in shorter than what they list on the entry form. Under no circumstances will entry fees be refunded for competitors who do not show up.

Please refer to the height measurement classes below so you can accurately check your height and enter the correct class.  Complete details on posing at: www.npcnewsonline.com

*Please note that this is a NON NPC designated event therefor classes will be as follows

Classes for Classic Men's Physique:
  • Class "A" (UP TO AND INCLUDING 5'8'')
  • Class "B" (Over 5'8'' )
  • Masters: 40 & Over - no height or weight restrictions

Men's Physique

Men’s Physique (original class, not the new “Classic Physique” Class) is similar to a male model search division with the men wearing board shorts. Judges will be looking for fit contestants who display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition.

This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity, vascularity and dryness will be marked down.

Contestants will be asked to walk in board shorts (no spandex and no team or sponsor logos are permitted). Competitors will enter the stage without a shirt and barefoot.  Judges are looking for the contestant with the best stage presence and poise who can successfully convey his personality to the audience. Competitors will walk to the center of the stage alone and perform half (1/2) turns with optional pose of hand on hip or hand in pocket, face the judges as directed then proceed to the side of the stage.

Additional classes may be added to suit competitor demand.

*Please note that this is a NON NPC designated event therefor classes will be as follows

Men's Physique Classes:
  • Class "A" : Up to and including 5'8''
  • Class “B” : Over 5’8’’

Wellness division competitors will be checked in and measured the same as Fitness, Figure, Bikini and Women’s Physique competitors.
All suits will be inspected at the check-in’s. Every competitor must wear their competition suit under their clothing to check-in’s for inspection. If your suit is not inspected you will not be permitted to compete. No Exceptions.

If you change your competition suit from prejudging to finals and the judges deem it not to conform to the rules you will be directed to leave the stage. No Exceptions.

-Abs defined like Figure or less defined like Bikini?
As it currently is in Bikini.
-Shoulders? Rounded & Capped like Figure and Women’s Physique or less pronounced like Bikini?
Slightly more developed than Bikini and a little less than Figure, but not as lean and with no striations. Not like Women’s Physique.
-How much definition for quads?
The quads should display an athletic appearance with slight separation but no striations. Not as lean and defined as Figure and Women’s Physique.
-Glute Development?
Full round glutes with a slight separation between the hamstring and glute area but no striations, as is in place for the Bikini Division. Glutes will be bigger than current Bikini competitors. They will not be as lean and defined as Figure and Women’s Physique.
